I am the co-founder of Walker-Wimer Group LLC (WWG). WWG is a web based media company that specializes in blog development.
We are passionate about blogging. We believe everyone should not only be reading blogs but writing their own blog with, their own voice, about the issues and missions that excite them.
This site is a place where you can access my latest articles, learn more about me, and the blogs that I have helped to develop.
Walker-Wimer Group might be a boring bland name but we don’t believe we are boring bland people — despite what my students might think.
Sports and Fitness
Most people in the blogging world know me from Strong Figure.com.
I made the switch from athlete to coach in 2001. Since then I have coached hundreds of athletes ranging from high school and college sport specific athletes, to adults looking to lose weight and/or gain muscle. I currently hold multiple coaching-related degrees and certificates.
I now know why most bloggers do their about page in third person — it is really strange writing your own “About” page.
I have played soccer my entire life. I also enjoy outdoor sports such as climbing, bouldering, hiking, mountain biking, and canoeing/kayaking. My other fitness related interests include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and playing with all my pets. If you knew my pets you would realize they are a fitness activity.
I am also a former collegiate rugby player and an avid Washington DC sports teams fan.
I have been a teacher at both the high school and college level for over 10 years. I am passionate about education in so many ways but one area of education that WWG has decided to focus on is the teacher.
Poorteachers.com is a blog we started to help teachers.
Teachers are overworked, stressed out, and financially poor. We envision a day when teaching is not only an honorable career that we love because of the difference we make; but a career we love because we are remunerated for all of our hard work, our commitment to our students, and the value we bring to our community and our nation. — An excerpt from our mission at PoorTeachers
Our mission is to help teachers become better in the profession, more efficient in the classroom, and minimize the stress and work that comes with this overly demanding job. We also believe teachers should be paid in accordance with the amount of work they do, the importance they have in our communities, and they should be compensated to the level of expertise they demonstrate in our schools.
Our newest venture in the world of blogging is Purple Cider — it is so new it hasn’t even started yet! Stay tuned…its going to be a good one.
